A topographic profile is the graphic representation of the relief of an area, obtained by cutting transversely the contour lines of a topographic map.

- identify the line's point of departure and point of arrival (from north to south).

- Cite the units of relief crossed by the line (in order).

- Explain the geologic origin and the main characteristics of each of the units of relief crossed by the line.

Un perfil topográfico es la representación del relieve del terreno que se obtiene a partir de un corte transversal de las curvas de nivel de un mapa topográfico.
